Hemi Bawa

Complemented by family photographs and a brief biography by Dr Alka Pande, this book traces the journey of Hemi Bawa, a Delhi-based artist. It chronicles Bawa’s life in terms of the art she nurtures – from a young painter without formal training to her explorations of several creative media; a fiercely focused artist who is equally at home with painting, photography, ceramics and now as an innovative sculptor and a pathbreaking artist using cast glass in the contemporary Indian art world. Lavish, full-colour images of her works of over two decades allow readers to engage with the art she represents, rounding out the portrait of the artist with international sensibilities.
