Product Information:
Originally built as an ATSF GP7 (2741), this locomotive was rebuilt by the Santa Fe in Cleburne, Texas, during the 1970s. The modernization gave it an updated, chopped-nose look, new “Topeka” cab, and a new number (2175). It was later sold to the Bangor and Aroostook in Maine, where it was renumbered to 23. Following changes in corporate ownership, the locomotive joined the Montreal, Maine and Atlantic roster under the same number, before being acquired by Morristown and Erie in 2014.
